To both The Paranoid and Masken.
What I am talking about in my post does not involve any special program. To make use of the images
from digital camera's does of course require software that can load the
image. Photoline, Image Copy, Calamus and quite a few others can read
TIF and JPEG.
My post was to explain that an SCSI PCMCIA Card Reader
can plug right in to any ATARI with an SCSI bus. I've tested this with a Hades
and a TT. As I also said with HD DRIVER you must run the program mediachg which is a
part of the HD DRIVER package. On a TT ICD's software worked just
fine without anything else. You could also use BIG DOS instead of MEDIACHG.
Once connected to the SCSI bus the card reader works like any
Hard DRIVE. I actually have two of them and find it the most
convenient way to exchange information with my MAC and Hades.
It actually works better with an ATARI and MagiCMac then it does
with a Mac using SYSTEM software. Thus while I certainly don't
want to knock what is apparently excellent software, with an SCSI CARD READER
I can download 32 Megs of photo's in about 20 seconds. Using a serail connection
would take about 20 minutes.
