I remember a while ago ( Several years ) when I tried to move from SD-Driver ( Supplied with my Gasteiner 540MB to HD-Driver.
I cannot remember the exact problems, but the basics are that SD dRiver and HD Driver are not 100% compatible, I was unable to install the driver onto C: due to that being an SD Driver made partition, or something, but in the end, what I had to do, was to use Good old AHDI booted from floppy, to move the files from the SD-Driver partitions, over to the HD-Driver Partitions.
These partitions being on seperate HDs too!
When they were all moved over, I wasable to then re-partition the original Drive with HD Driver,and copy them all back.
Took days.
I see no reason why a partition magic type of program cannot be written on the atari?
