And how about a plug-in to ACSI port an adaptor which would be IDE instead? ;-)
Let's say I got a half of it done. When it will reach it successfull end of development I could make a small serie of about 50 pieces (not by hand like those Eiffels I made, but proffesionaly made PCBs and machine-soldered), each per 40 Euro (49 USD) + postal fees (or maybe cheaper - this is a price with a small profit for me. If the serie would be bigger, the prices for making would be less, I would also drop my profit lower ;-) )
Also the circuit and the program will be free if anyone is willing to make it by himself. (50 pieces of a serie is to keep the price of making it lower).
Some screenshots are here:

If not as much as 50 people will want to buy, no serie will be produced, but the schematics and program still will be free and public domain.
The interface should be HDDRIVER compatibile - I'm working on it now, but as there is hard to get any knowledge how exactly it communicates with devices (on HW level), so I'm having trouble to get it working with it... Uwe Seimet (HDDRIVER author) doesn't want to tell me stuff I want to know ;-)
