As I did try to say, Ebay is not a place to look for sane prices. Everything is kicked to skiy-high prices there, especially something which is a little rare (Falcon is a little rare). If you wish to have $1000 for your Falcon, you need to do one of those lame Ebay ads with words like "Extremle rare collectors item bla bla bla", then perhaps some sucker will bid you $1000.
But trying to sell them to sane people where both make a deal to be happy about, you're not coming close to that figure.
If you had a decently equipped Falcon, say MK X casing, CT60 board with 512MB memory, EtherNet card, 100 GB disk and perhaps a rather decent TFT, then we're talking $1000-style. But now, for a more or less bare Falcon, that figure is just insane.
How Best Electronics can sell Falcons at that price? Well, guess why they still have Falcons in stock and are not sold out of them?
