One interesting statistic is that when Mario Becroft was selling his serial mouse to Atari mouse adapter, it became his best selling product. He reported selling over 150 of them. I don't know what the split was between Atari/Amiga owners. (FYI, Mario's device has an Atari/Amiga switch in it)
But I'm sure some of these (and some new ST owners since that time) will want to upgrade to an optical PS/2 mouse now from of a ball mouse. So I think this will sell better than your other doohickies.
BTW, Chris, didn't you say you were going to work on an ST to VGA monitor scan doubler type device? I think that would sell too. I'm sure many would like to use color resolutions on an LCD display.
