phil,
all the converters I saw were Svideo types, the one I was working on was RGB, actually I think it had Svideo input too but can't remember.
im sure some manufacture will be making RGB types by now, when I got the IC's for it they had only just come out on the market, and that must have been like 5 years ago now!
True a RGB *may* sell, but its not a 5min job, I would probably have to spend 6 months in development, if a 100 units sold then at least I could get back some of the costs, but in all the time I posted about it not 1 single person showed any interest.
I have to look at it from of business point of view. In that a lot of them would have to sell to warrent the development costs. if 500 people suddenly E-mailed me saying they would by one then sure maybe worth it. But I keep finding this with people, people say that want something then when it comes to coughing up the cash they vanish and leave me with a huge bill. one gets tired of it after a while. Actually will be interesting to see how many actually buys a PS2 adapter!
I still say nobody would pay £100 for one anyway. If I started to develop it chances are a manufacture would sudenly produce one and undercut me, again I loose.
*maybe* one day if I get some free time I *may* start again, I still have all the chips necessary to make it work. I would like one for myself in fact, though for me alone its not worth spending the time....
a bit depressing though I have to make the finance the prority issue here. I hope it clears things up..
