You would need an external circuit with, at a minimum: (3) 8 bit ADCs, 3K of dual ported RAM (line buffer), (3) 8 bit DACs, and a VCO for timing. I wanted to build one, but it would cost too much to be feasible. (Is anyone going to pay $100 or so for one?). I think it might be possible to do all of it with a decent FPGA, but I haven't delved too far into that angle yet. The dev costs would be fairly high for the FPGA, but the actual final parts cost would be considerably less.
