You might have to face the possibility, that on of the major circuits went bad on the main board.

I suggest, that you purchase the STE diagnostics cartridge from Best Electronics.

It will tell you exactly what is going on.

However, you could also just wait for an STE to come up on Ebay cheap.

Personally, I think it is the GLUE chip.
