I think the clue is in your having recently changed your floppy drive. What did you change it to? Most drives have their ID set to a different number than the Atari standard. Look for jumpers to change the ID number on the new drive, if not you might have to try and track down some technical details to see how you can change the ID. I've had this problem when upgrading to a new drive or when I was using an external drive that had originally been set up for an ST with no internal drive with similar symptoms
