I'd keep the network card for sure if i were you :-)
Hmmm ... There were some slot-doublers that actually
made room for 2 VME-slots, but i think they required
recasing and also, i can't tell whether the drivers
cooperated well.
About the high-res: The TT manuals states "pin 9" of
the video port as Monochrome Monitor detect. I suppose
you could trick your TT into considering your monitor a
TT-Highres compatible monitor. I have no idea whether
your TT will display anything sensible then because much
like the ST, it has a separate pin for the monochrome
output signal.
By the way, i have an OverscanTT in my TT and it boasts
the resolutions up to 896 x 496 on a standard VGA
monitor and doesn't hog the VME-slot, so if you see an
OverscanTT somewhere, i'd recommend to buy it.
