 Subject: Position of Mint program in Auto Folder

I am having a bit of trouble in the Mint environment on my Hades060. I can read various things fine, but if I try and write anything, the partition/floppy/etc gets screwed up. The media becomes useless and I have to re-format or re-initalize. I have tried to adjust my CNF file with no success. I am wondering if I need to move my Mint.prg file to a different spot in the boot-up process. What programs should not run before Mint and vice vera?
