Just Got it to work!

Used ATMEL 27C256R chips (6) and eprom programmer. Also used the info I found on this site really helped.

The code to split the TOS was excellent which was here. Used STEEM run the code.

Worked great now my new 1040 STMF ST is running TOS 1.04. Next, I will be onto fixing the floppy drive (on order). The internal floppy drive was dead. Easy to upgrade to that TOS as it is a straight 6-chip swap.

Also the memory is harder because this machine had hard wired memory. Not ready to take it to > 1 megs yet.

I'll have rescued a 1040 STMF from the trash bin. (Yea!).
