Compact flash, as with most memory cards are very dangerous, specially the low cost. They have a very limited number of reads/write (10.000 or more), that may look a lot but it’s not! On a digital camera you star to get corruption pixels until errors arrive. This is a old question even for Amoeba users. I know IDE/CF interfaces are cheap on Ebay but think about it. Just don’t put all your eggs in one basket…
