I e-mailed the site and got no reply, not even buzz off.
I agree that CF isn't the safest memory type but if you want to use IDE to CF here's some more info. I think CF memory drive is at your own risk. It's best where you have lots of fixed programs and you just want to read them (you also should have backups.)
I found these links useful for info on IDE to CF card.

You might be able to build this IDE drive interface if you have a GAL programmer and a soldering iron.

If you try I would like to know how it works for you.
or another variation:

Then you could hook up IDE to CF without too much trouble - (I haven't tried it yet so do at your own risk).
Also the best hopes for IDE interfaces are
--------
The incredible hobby project DMA to Atari HD

(not yet released but very cool.)
Also this web page's who's very smart authors working on almost the same thing you want, except atri DMA to CF. - hope they get it done!!!!

I'm currently tinkering with an ALTERA CPLD and a SCSI circuit I found here to hook up a scsi 1 zip drive I got on EBAY for $10.00 to my 1040 STE.

I like this because it could also be used to
build the internal IDE interface easily and maybe even for a DMA to IDE converter (much harder though, a Micro controller is easier I think). -- It's also fun to learn about CPLD's which are new to me.
Good luck, good idea, not as easy to implement.
