I have not tried but it sounds like the printer is a "Win printer" like "Win Modems", basicly the computer does most of the work which makes the printer slightly cheaper.

The printer needs a very inteligent driver, I do not think you will find one but some packages may print to it.

The printer will probably not even work for DOS programs on a PC either.
