Don't be ridiculous.
Have you any idea what the disk and RAM requirements for Linux are? Also there is no MMU or FPU inside a 68K. Even a TT or Falcon030 has trouble keeping up with Linux.
There is MiNT, which is a kind of TOS-Compatible Unix, which will run, but you do need a hard drive and 4Mb is a minimum if you want to do something useful.
Maybe what you want is to use your poor little ST as a terminal. CoNnect is a very good terminal emulator and is free.
There are no network adapters for the ST either, but a serial connection is easy with STinG or MiNTnet.
