Hi all
Ok I've got the board to recognise the RAM (realised that the jumper pin numbers were the opposite round from the writing on the board... handy I don't think). I reversed this and put some (at least what I believed were) 70ns simms in. Trouble is, the only way the computer would recognise them was if I switched the jumper to turn on fast page mode. The memory test came back fine, however, the computer crashed every time it tried to access the extra RAM, NVDI froze the computer on start up, and there were crashes on almost every other app. When I turn off the fast page mode the ram test just fails every time. This probably means the SIMMs are to slow again, but I can't understand why they past the memory test if that's the case, presumably because the memory test is rubbish I suppose. Anyone know where I can get some decent 70ns or greater simms? (if I'm going to buy new I might as well get some 4mb ones and go the whole hog)
Thanks
Thomas
