Why make such a fuzz ? This forum is regularly used
by people who want to transfer files from their trusty
old Atari to their rusty new PC and we never told anyone
to install Linux to do that.
So relax.
And try some of the following:
a.) Use a decent packer. No, WinZip is not a decent packer.
I mean one that supports file splitting, such as ARJ. If
that doesn't help there's a package named SplitIt and
JoinIt. They run fine under STEEM.
b.) Use a Null-Modem connection between your Atari
and the PC. ZModem works fine and there are packages
on both the Atari and Windows.
c.) Finally, it's also possible to connect your Atari to the
net. Then, you could upload your files to somewhere
using FTP and fetch them with your PC.
Good luck.
