Whe I have come across problems with TOS version compatability, especially on STE's, one of the things I have tried is loading the original disk version TOS 1.09.
This sorts the majority of problems out, but ideally you should use it with more than half a meg of memory.
It all depend on the software and the problem!
Some are caused by software protection techniques... I have come across several that CLAIM to be STE compliant, but wouldn't work in a month of Sunday, would they Mr RNC!!!!
I have come across a couople that would run fine on one TOS 1.2 STFM and not another!!!!
