Imagine this solution:
a small piece of electronics with SD/MMC card connected instead of floppy drive, which would be able to store 64 floppy images on the SD/MMC card. The device would emulate reading and writing from/to floppy, so no physical diskettes would be needed and you could "upload" the images to the card using any SW on Atari, which can extract the content of disk image to floppy.
Whis could help a bit with using floppy images directly without diskettes, but would it solve/help anything?
