The parallell zipdrive isn't completely useless, although it is horribly slow compared to an IDE or SCSI variant. It's very easy to use if you have a PC.

The 100Mb version can be read in 250 and 750mb zip drives, but 250/750 can't be read in a 100Mb zipdrive.

The Scsi version is found relatively cheap on ebay.
