Yes, it does have to be changed, fortunately, it is an industry standard part and an completely compatible/ interchangeable with ones used on millions of clone PCs, I don't have the exact part number, but I have seen the solution posted before.

Also, I would soldier in a socket before you put in the new clock/batter chip. That way the next time you have to replace it it will be a simple plug-in operation.
