I agree ICD was good for Atari,i have tried on several occasions to eMail ICD with no answer.
More luck i think finding rocking horse poo.
I was going down that road to copy the Pals, and had started to build a programmer.
There is a couple of circuits available on the web.The designer of one i contacted still supports the design and firmly suggested i do not put the pals into a gal programmer. It will blow them.
Maybe you have done that if you have tried to read them, and of course there is most likely a security option activated to avoid being read, which may activate a delete write.I don't know for sure, but not having spares,i am not willing to chance.
Have you tried other drives on your ICD adapter.I bought an early Link from eBay(no led indicator)I tried several drives with no success of reconition and resigned to the fact i bought a dud.I kept it and later when i was trying to get bigger drives on the Mega ste,i was finding it (STE) very fussy on types of drives, finding it liked seagate,i tried one just for the hell back on my DUD Link ICd and found it was reconised, glad i kept it
Vey interested in the high rez to vga TT030,i have just got an adapter that switches between two monitors connected, one vga and the other being ECL.Is the circuit of any help
