Ok, the site was behaving bad earlier, and I didn't wantto waste my time writing all this again... so...
As for monitor cables... There are plenty of DIY descriptions on the net for that, both for TV (scart), VGA monitors & multisyncs... The only thing that might be a problem is finding the 13 pin DIN plug used on Atari, but since some music equipment manufacturers still use it, it should not be that hard.
Buying a monitor cable for Atari is probably relatively expensive. Reason being that the demand is so low, that the manufacturing probably is manual in a basement by some entusiast.
As for floppy cable, I've seen it somewhere for a couple of USD, but lost the url. 14 pin DIN plugs are almost impossible to find today, so making one yourself could prove impossible...
