The scarcity is what drives the price. Quite a few people (myself included) will not depart with pefectly useful Atari computers. People have their own reasons for this. For me, it is because I started on Atari back in the 1980s so I guess you could say its part nostalgia. But I also use them everyday for a variety of tasks. I love my Ataris -- all of them. I plan to keep them. So when an opportunity comes along to upgrade one of them as with this "old piece of junk ISA..", as you put it, graphics card, I'll jump on it. I'm quite sane too, thanks. Each year my company buys me a new Dell laptop for my job figuring last year's model is obsolete, which it is. But only because its a wintel machine. PCs are "obsolete". Ataris are merely old.
