ExtenDOS v2.4
I didnt know that there was a v4.5 but yes, when I first managed to get ExtenDOS to play ball, I actually used a mixture of various versions of it, although at the time, I did have a hookie copy to start with and ended up buying the bloody thing anyway, and then I got the installation program that just got me runnign straight off.

However, ExtenDOS ( v2.4 ) does not support Long FileNames, while SPIN does.

Anyway, I have managed to get Spin to work, and ExtenDOS crashes, and I have managed to find the cause of why it was hanging, and that is that it simply does not like the CDRW... Ignore it in the CNF file and it starts up just fine with the NEC CDROM, put it back and it crashes with the Plexor CDRW, so thats sorted as far as I need it to for now.

Spin as I said, read them both, and gives ame long filenames too, and it seems that it was my copy of METADOS that was the problem there? either way, I changed it and its now seemingly fine... Just so bloody slow at copying a CD to the HD.

At this time, I no longer have a DVD Drive connected to the Atari, so I am not too fussed about that, probably wont bother either.

Does EDOS 4.5 support LFNs then?
