Funny you mention Printer Drivers... My TT/030 prints just fine to my latest OKi Color Laser from Pagestream in either Color PostScript, (19,275 Bytes+18,475 Byte header), EpsonQC, (1,345 Bytes!), or HPLaser, (1,343 Bytes). It prints from 1stWord's Epson driver, or the Desktop using GDOS!
There's no telling how big the OKI drivers on my Mac are, but surely many 10s of KB, and the last time I installed a Printer driver on my PC, the CD had over 500MB of stuff on it, (no idea how much went where).
Ridiculous!!! I think every printer driver ever made for the Ataris would come in under 1MB put together!
Also, I can boot my TTs up faster than any PCs or Macs, and shut it down with the flick of a switch! PRGs lauch faster too.
Imagine how fast today's computers would be if they weren't so crippled... in fact, I have a 500MHz G3 powered PM6500 running OS7.5.5, that is actually too fast to be usable... one click on a scroll button runs about 200 lines past so fast you can't see them.
