I just gave a good mate my STE stuff to get him playing with Sequencers again, because he, like myself, is sick to the stomach of our PCs being so finicky when it comes to Midi timings etc.
Thankfully, he has no intention of keeping it, its just temporary.
He was however, offered £150 for the lot, and I said its worth more... I think it is too!
A TT or MegaSTE may only be worth £50 to you, and thats cool, but to me, I would be happy to pay a lot more for one, but at the same time, I would also expect to be paid a lot more should I sell it too!
Like they say... They are worth what people pay for them, and thats true!
I have my eyes on 2 Falcons, and if one falls over, I have the other to buy. Both are £200 and I am ok with paying that, even though I sold my Falcon a while back for half theat price. At the same time, I have just upped my TT's STRAM from 2MB to 4MB and paid £50, and I am about to also up the TTRAM too, So, all in all, my Ataris are going to cost me over £400 with everything, oh, and I just had my ST's DMA Cable repaired too.
Now, for £400 I could get myself some spanking hardware for my PCs, but then, my Ataris will still be suffering with the hardwork they aregetting off me as of late.
Ok, so £400 is a lot of dosh by anyones standards for Atari gear, but I think that I am happy to pay for it... I want it, so why not?
Ok, not happy to pay that much, but you know what I mean!
