Well, I noticed how slow the Falcons Video was compared to the TT, and I was so astomished, that I often wondered why people even bothered with a Falcon.
I have heard, that even with faster Falcons, the Video speed, is still poor??
Is this true?
Dotn get me wrong here... With the TT, ST-MONO is incredibly quick compared to TT-MED, and on the TT, the more colours used, the slower it gets, but IIRC the Falcon on 640x480x256 was quite frankly a shambles, which was a shame.
I remember when I bought an AlberTT card, I was so happy, that finally I would get myself good screen modes, only to find that I was still stuck on 16 Colours, but at 800x600 or 1024x768 and my god, I was blown away by just how ruddy slow this pile of junk was!
Too much hassle tryign to get it to play nicely, using half a dozen different drivers to get it to play... I did do in the end, but not under Magic, it was ok with MiNT, but not Magic, and MiNT I have found, is terribly slow so I dont bother with it.
