Based on this, I have gone to Maplins and got a 2.5" to 3.5" cable


The snag is, that its the wrong way round?

Rather than going from 2.5 to a 3.5 Drive...
Its a 3.5 ( Controler ) to 2.5 ( Drive )

This leaves me with a possibly silly question...

Can I just cut the male molex off, and re-connect a female, and have it work, or is there something else to consider here? such as the wiring being mirrored to what I need it to be?
