When I referenced to a TT in medium resolution I got the following Display: 72% and cpu 37% quite reasonable if you take into account that I don't have an fpu. Clearly the falcon is not as slow as you think. Chances are there is something wrong with your falcon. I don't know what but it is not as slow as it shows you. Mind that my falcon has been upgraded to 14mb. No other upgrade has been made.
