I got a 44MB Job here too, thats a 5.25" job and every time I plug it up, it seems to be perfect.
And whats more, its been dumped in my shed for the past 3 years or so, I found it and thought that damp must have gotten to it, I put it in the airing cupboard for a week or so, and threw it onto my ST and it started up just fine!
No bad sectors on any if the disks and the data was 100% perfect still.
I would say thats good.
Obviously if oyu are only talking about the 270MB ones, then from what I can see, I would have to agree cos this thing never gets seen by HDDriver, ( The machine that is ) andwhen it does, its a miracle if it can see there is a disk in the thing, and even then, its a further miracle to actually get it to read any data off the disk.
More chance of the lottery TBH.
