I was not using MiNT?
I might have had Magic, and if not, it was stock TOS, but I did not try it under MiNT.
I know GFA is supposed to be very fast, and I also know that I came up with some seriously slow junk with HB2 however, I did love it because I was messing about with delevoping so many LIBraries that made it much better ( The stuff that worked did anyway! LOL )
As I go with HB2, I will start to remember and pick things up as I go along, but with GFA, I never did get used to it, so teh learning curve will be so much harder.
Assembly isnt really all that bad... Sure for full blown apps etc, its a killer, requiring 6 billion lines of code to get it to draw a pixel, but the rewards are much greater in the long run.
A God compromise would of course be C
I have the full package of Lattice C v5 but then, thats also based on the same HiSoft code as HBasic, so will that work?
I dont like C btu it does look like thats no longer a matter of choice for me, at least if I plan on getting further than the old HELLO WORLD code.
