Yes, C I find illogical, Assembly, as its utterly raw, and completely down to the bone, cannot be... Unless your code it all silly and wrong, but then, if you code in Assembly, its so bloody tedious, that you need to make teh code as small as possible because you dont want to be stuck doing one small part for weeks on end do you - sort of forcing your code to be clean and compact.
C on the other hand... WTF is all this == or &= += stuff???
Sheesh!
Anyway, waffle mode just turned itself on!
HiSoft v GFA
I know that GFA is better, or rather I accept that other people think its better, but as I said, for me, I already had FirstBasic, and the progression from that, through PowerBasic and ending up on HiSoft Basic, allowed me to move my code over with absolutely no alterations at all, or at least very little changes. The benefits of going along that path, was that with each change, I got more features, and commands etc that allowed me to improve my code, or undertake bigger / better projects ( Even if 99% of them did get binned or left behind )
While moving over to GFA would require a complete re-work of how I go about coding.
At least, thats how I felt at the time.
As you know, I am now starting over, so, I am rather hoping that now is the time to make the change perhaps?
