Yes, you are right. I run Cubase in 640x480 rather than STHigh, as this gives a slightly larger screen, allowing more info etc...
It runs perfectly in this, and when I was using the TT, there was no slow down, or at least very little enough to notice.
With the Falcon, the loss of that 16mhz over the TT, is noticeable... Too noticable.
At this time, I am 640x480x4 which is a very weird mode I suppose because 640x480xMono does not seem to be any good as the Top half of the window does not diplay properly ,and this is NOT down to the screen, but my Falcon, so thats a possible boost again that I am missing.... Yes, only a small boost, but a boost all the same.
The display difference between my TT and my Falcon at 640x480x16 is fairly massive. I never used anythign but this mode on the TT and never once saw any kind of slowdown at all, and on the Falcon, its just unuseable for any serious work!
However, yes, Mono modes are astonishingly quick.
