Ah, that particular problem has now been fixed.
Not sure why it did it, but I have downloaded the files again, and now it starts and stops just fine.
The Slowness seemed to be cured by trying out different FDI_INIT.PRG files as some seemed to work, but were obviously not... I got some that are different sizes, so its now playing music as it should be doing too!
I have also given up on being able to use any of the Extra Midi ports through the Serial port, they work just peachy through the TT, even if they do seem to lose the odd byte or two, it still worked. I have instead risked everything and the Parallel port job, I pulled apart and attacked it with a few blobs of solder and thats now working ok, one issue I do have withthat, is that while its plugged in, Magic wont reboot properly, although MiNT is fine, and I may be moving to MiNT anyway, so I am not too bothered just right now about that.
I am still stuck on one thing though...
I still cannot play a sample?
Any ideas on that?
All I want, is to have a sample, maybe a silly sound effect, or perhaps some git shouting a word or phraze, it does not matter what, and I just to perhaps throw that in everyso often... But its just not happening?
How do I get it into CuBase? I cant even do that?
I dont want any of this D2D stuff, I just want it in RAM, and sure enough, there is the info to do that, there is the info to change everything except to actually load the sample in at all?
I have bought CuBase Audio second hand, and the manuals are, shall we say... Not the best just in case the seller sees this ( unlikely, but... ) and there does not seem to be any info about audio at all?
