Let me know what happens with the lead.
Scart gives a clearer picture anyway so lets hope it works.

Should it be the marpet board check the underside of the MMU for any faulty joints especially on pins 51(vsync),29(/DCYC),52(DE), and 30(rdat). These are shared with the video shifter.
