so, why do you need extra ports anyway? I know that using midi thru and midi daisy chain isn't perfect solution when using 3 or more midi devices, but it is useable...even so it is far better than ordinary peecee with only one midi device...
i tested all midi port expanders and there are two which work ok: Soundpool's MO4 and MO8 and Steinberg's parallel port rackmount midid expander (can't remember its name :) )
there are drivers for them in cubase mros folder (as well as patched 060 version)...
