I ma mainly a Magic User, but I recently toyed with MiNT aswas thoroughly impressed with how much better it was since I last played, so I will be moving fully to MiNT once my CT63 gets here ... IF!
Anyway, I am at a loss as to how anyones atari can crash?
I am happy to say that I think that the last time my TT crashed on me was sometime around 1996/97 and thats no bull either! - I only know that because thats about the time when I also replaced one of the HardDrives... The cause of the crash by the way.
Admittedly, I dont run it to the ground, I have only just taken the RAM from 2+4 to 4+4 and then 4+16 so I have had to be careful there, however, I have been using OUTSIDE to give me a virtual 8MB Previously and apart from it taking longer to do things, it still worked flawlessly.
My main Apps have been only the basics:-
CAB 2.5 then 2.8
QED
GEMView 3
IMGCopy4
Papyrus Office
Texel
HiSoft DevPac 3 & HBasic2 & Couplke of RSC Editors.
And the MagicOS loaded with the usual toys like OLGA, SMU, TaskBar, AppList and so on.
But none have caused a crash other than my own apps and even then the Atari never crashed as such... Just my own code.
