Forgive my total ignorance here, but from what I have read, its actually ( According to many ) an issue with the IDE and not in fact with the SCSI At all?
I always thought ( and again, some agree on this ) that the Falcons IDE is fine and its the SCSI that has the issues????
Im thinking you see... That now I have a larger IDE Drive, that I can pretty much have done with the SCSI and only keep that for my M/O Drives, CDRW, and backups?
I mean, dont get me wrrong... I have never hit this error or problem until I try backing up my stuff ( Thats now ) and my Falcons clock is dead so when I start her up, and start copying files over, if I grab th lot and then just select SKIP-ALL It never gets past 3 minutes... Thats how bad it is, but once I have it all backed up.... Should not be an issue for me anymore.
Now too hot on whether I want to risk doing that mod TBH... A few years ago, yeah, no worries, but in my old age, Im no longer willing to take risks.
