Yes, I agree.

My TT seems to be happy to oot from 256 but not from 512MB although its happy with 512MB for other Partitions.

I know the 256MB to be the case because for soem time I used a 270MB Drive that would not boot if I used the whoel drive, but just cutting off a tiny bit at the end, allowed me to boot with it.
I think it was Sector sizes are the limiter on that, and possibly for others too, but I have never looked any deeper into it.

The most I have tried on the Falcon is 512MB. I have a 512MB Compact Flash card thats C: and a 4GB thats D: to I:. It boots fine at 512MB and is ok at reading up to 1GB for everything else.

I will be playing again with my old STE as I have just bought a new SCSI Drive for that too and I wil be swapping it over with the older one... Nothign wrong with it, its just that I fancied doing it.

There is also the issue of different drivers of course, that may or may not play a role. The only ACSI-SCSI adapter I have left is now my originalt TopLink that I got with my First ever ST HD. Funny how you somehow keep the thigns that cost the most dont you?

Cheers dude.
