I have had a dozen Happy drives,,, currently have 4 1050 Happys- with 1050 Happy enhancers.


Their is "no-difference" in the side-board---daughter board electronics of the 810 -Tandon or the 810 MPI variants of the drive.

(The 810 Happy upgrade is completely on the side-daughter board)

Simply unplugging the side daughter board from an MPI 810 and plugging it into a Tandon 810 will work just fine.

If that simple transplant didn't work, then you have another problem.

I have the complete original docs for all Happy upgrades including the rare Happy 810 dual-speed Auto switch mod.

Post a detailed description of what you did and the pre-modification state of the drives and I will try to cough up an answer for you.
