On ct63 mode the hbasic.ttp compiler works a-ok. From the IDE I get some errors. The TT version complains about FPU presence, and the IDE doesn't work at all.
Sooooo, if you wanna make qed you default editor and compile your progs with the ttp compiler you'll be ok-ish.
If you're feeling more adventurous, you should be able to patch the 030 compiler against fpu. See, from the 2' I looked at the compiler in bugaboo, I noticed the string "_FPU" and next to it the fpu error string. So that means that the compiler is looking for that cookie and it can't find it. Now you either can install your own _fpu cookie or kill the cookie detect code.
