It'd be like a 500bhp V8 on a T-Ford chassis... In other words, the idea is not completely impossible, executing it might be considered fun by some, but there's no sane reason to assume it's going to be of any practical use.
As for USB and Internet on real hardware, yes and no. Yes, it exists. No, it's not anything like you know it from your PC. Expect kludge and (severely) limited functionality.
