The patches are not very difficult to perform. Either get a friend with soldering skills do it for you, or send it to Rodolphe. This problem isn't something Czuba could adress during design of the CT6x - it's a problem with the Atari motherboard.
While the TT may have been a better design when it comes to quality and stability, it's about 10% as fast as a working CT60 setup - if not slower. I'm running a CT60 with a properly patched motherboard, and I have no issues with stability whatsoever. The machine can go for a month without a single crash, and when it does, it's usually due to my code (I'm a coder).
Something that you must keep in mind when setting up the CT60 machine is to *only* use stuff that is known to work with the 060. There are lots of ugly *ugly* ugly *ugly* stuff that can cause trouble.
