Hello FatRakoon,
I have just now had a chance to read through all the posts on your dilemma. First thing I would do is strip everything out of the Auto Folder except for NVDI and MagBoot32. Definitely switch to XControl control panel program. I also noticed that you do not have the CT60 software installed into the Auto Folder. What is the reason for this??? In the CT60 archive there are 3 programs DSPXBIOS.PRG, EXCEP060.PRG and the third one I cannot remember off the top of my head. I will check when I get home (I am at work right now). Also make sure that you have the CT60 CPX installed. I cannot remember if the above three programs are for Magic only or CT60 specific (needed for the CT60 no matter what OS your using). I would not worry about the IDE cable myself. Mine is 20+ inches and has worked for 5-6 years this way. I believe the quality is what determines whether a cable will work or not. I have been using a Kingston SDRam valueram for all of those 5-6 years and a cheap 300 watt PSU and that seemed to work fine for my combination. I sent my Falcon off to Rodolphe when my Clock went south as we say here in the USA. I had him do all of the necessary patches and the bus speeder and all of the CT60 modifications and my system has been very stable for 4-5 years. The system was quite stable once I got all of the software installed and was quite usable with no problems. I think my stability got much better when I got all of the programs installed properly. That would be my next step. Next to making sure that it boots in stock Falcon mode and operates correctly in that mode first.
