Well, I am happy to say that today has been the first day since I got the Falcon that I have not crashed out in a hail of bombs or Hex number$
Admittedly, when it booted up, it wasnt showing the SCSI drives at all, but I got straight to the TOS desktop, and so I decided to put SUPERBOOT in to help sort things out ( Fed up of constantly renaming all the time so might as well ) and I started it up without the 3 CT60 Programs, loaded up CuBase and piddled about for an hour, constantly loading, saving, and generally sodding about doing nothing in particular and it went all fine and dandy... I quit and fannied about a bit on the desktop and went back in and plonked about for another few minutes before quiting again, and not had any issues at all, which was great...
I then reset and this time I selected a few MAGIC-OS apps, NVDI, CT63 XBIOS stuff, LEDPANEL, COPS, KOBOLD and I went to the Jinnee desktop and of ocurse I proceeded to chuck some files about the drive ( IDE with 7 Partitions ) and everythign went spanky, I loaded up a few things... HIGHWIRE, CAB, QED, Papyrus, IMGCopy4 and this is not forgetting the STARTUP stuff that I have such as MEMVIEW, STARTMEUP, TASKBAR, CLOCK, and afew others and I chopped and changed and loaded the ATari up like buggery with every thing I could jam into it, until I ran out of STRAM and not once did I have an issue!!!!
All looking rosy now.
I didnt bother checking out the SCSI cable... Not for now.
I am feelign absolutely doodah right now and the las tthing I need tonight is to hav a crash after all of this.
I iwll wait till after 12 to check that out... I have 3 cables anyway, so its probably just that I connected the wrong one... ( He smiles awkwardly )
I still need to verify that the Clock Chip's Missing pin is ok because I stil cannot save some stuff and thats fairly important I feel.
But for now...
Many thanks to you Peter. Many thanks indeed.
