OK,
with your hardware (falcon) you can have a nice MiNT setup. Here's what to do:
Download easymint on your pc and unzip it.
Partition your harddisk with the following scheme:
C: 1 TOS partition
D: 1 TOS partition (I always suggest at least 2 TOS partitions).
.
.
.
(You can have as many TOS partitions as you want, up to 14)
The next partition has to be LNX. To do that read the manual of your HD driver.
Then you transfer your unziped easymint folder from the pc to the falcon HD. You select the proper RSC for language and you launch easymint.prg.
This will take a few hours but when it's done you are set to go and enjoy the MiNT world.
Needless to say. Read the easymint instructions! They'll answer most of your questions. Also don't forget to register ;). (It's emailware).
Now if you can't or don't want the full system we can work something else out. It won't be as good!
