I've had similar responses from HD Driver and ICD, and Extendos.
I think that you need to reinstall! Make a copy of HD driver remove old files either manually or from within HD utils.
I have (at the moment!) copies of HD driver ready set depending on which device i'm using.
Is this the CD drive id?
As long as id's aren't clashing changing the id will make . . . not much of a difference.
Extendos also likes to have HD driver in order to boot, as HDDriver sets up the initial table of devices.( As ICD does.)

I've never used a TT or Magic.

Hope some of that is useful?!
