I happen to have a lot of stuff that is not XL/XE compatible, and running a translator is not really an option when trying to run programs from a hard disk that requires drivers, since the translator boots any hard disk drivers out of memory. As such, a XL/XE with MyIDE may not be able to do what I want, which is play all of my old games without struggling with diskettes.

I am mostly interested in a SIO2IDE for my Atari 800, and MyIDE does not work with the Atari 800. APE requires a dedicated PC. I tried using a PC that was doing other stuff, and this would result in timeouts and drive errors on the 8-bit side, and the occasional catastrophic Blue Screen of Death on the PC, not to mention the fact that I don't want to have my 800 chained to a PC.

With an SIO2IDE, I could make a little box that sits behind the Atari 800 that has an IDE Compact Flash drive, and fill it with all of my stuff.

Unfortunately, I don't speak or read Polish, and haven't gotten any responses to my e-mails, so I have been unable to buy an SIO2IDE from this auction/seller.

Thanks for your consideration.
